Growing up I used to think summer was my favorite season.  After all, it was baseball season.  Nowadays though it is fall, hands down.  Football season is in full swing and the baseball playoffs are underway.

I love the baseball playoffs.  It makes each game that much more important and when the season is 162 games long the regular season gets quite boring.  I wish baseball would shorten up their season.  Imagine them just playing Fri, Sat, Sun.  This way, it would be even more important to have good starting pitching.  If a team had 3 aces, they would be hard to beat.  But who am I kidding, it won’t happen.  Baseball makes way too much money from the full season.

Football is ever-increasingly becoming my favorite sport though.  Last year I joined a fantasy football league in which I shared the team with a co-worker.  To say the least, it was a learning experience.  This year I decided to join two leagues.  Both were a $100 buyin.  As of today both teams are 4-0.  However, half way through the day….one teams looks like they are about to get handed their first loss.  But its ok, each team will still be in first place in both leagues.

I used to think fantasy football was stupid.  Now that I have tried it out for myself, it truly is addicting.  It makes watching football that much more interesting.  If you have never tried it, I definitely suggest you play next year.

On the poker side of things, since last time I posted…I have won back more than half of the $700 I lost yesterday.  But a game just started as I was writing this post, and things are not looking good.  Soooo I gotta go.
