Well, I played a ton more tonight than the usual.  I ran OK in some games, but ran absolutely brutal in others.  This is how my night went:

Limit 5 card draw cash:  I won $66 spread out over 15 tables anywhere from 15/30 to 2/4.  But most of my play was at 5/10. I ran pretty freakin bad tonight, but still managed to make a small profit.

HU 5 card draw SNGs:  I don’t know where my game is here, though I never really had one as it is still fairly new to me.  I am playing awful, and trying some new things.  I went 3-3, but my wins came at the higher levels.  So I profited $55.50.

PL Draw:  Tried my hand at some 2/4 PL draw and I was getting pretty outplayed here.  I played poorly too.  Dropped $230.65 here in one fairly quick session.

2-7 Triple Draw:  Decided to try something different as I played this at the 3/6 level.  I could not hit a draw to save my life.  I started out playing pretty tight and was making out OK though.  But then I kinda got reckless and I dropped $200 here.

So all together I lost $309.15 on the night.

Bringing my total to 60k to $19,328.

I was up over $500 tonight at one point.  But it is what it is.  Things just have not been going my way one bit.  I feel lost at the tables right now.  I am feeling antsy as I get outdrawn left and right.  The thing is, I feel like I am making money at the same time.  Because some of my opponents are making plays that are sooooo bad that I am not losing at such a high rate that I should be against a competent opponent.

I need to make a turn-around here soon.  But the thing is, games are extremely sparse right now at the high-limit 5 card draw tables.  I have to figure out another way to bring in some cash.  I might have to start playing some steps.  But the thing about steps, is once your money is in the step system, you can’t just cash it out.  Maybe I will start to play some and just count the value of the tickets towards my amount to 60k.  Afterall, I am planning to start playing some tournaments to try and win a seat to the ’11 PCA eventually, so I might as well start gathering some step 5 tickets for the $700 mtts and maybe a few step 6s to give that a try as well.  We shall see.

After all, if for some crazy reason, I might actually run good in those things.  I win 3, and I will have reached my goal as each package is worth 15k.

For now though, I am calling it a night.  Not going to bed just yet, but I am going to review some of my play.  Because I just don’t understand how I can be having such an awful month and a half in limit 5 card draw.  I have a huge leak somewhere and I just can’t put a finger on it just yet.

Tomorrow, going to friends house who is leaving town to work for a non-profit organization in Jacksonville Florida.  He is a good friend who I haven’t hung out with enough as he was finishing college in town after having a stint in the (baseball) minors which ended prematurely.
