I started out my night pretty hot.  I won a 6 person NLH sit-n-go satellite to the Nightly Hundred Grand.  After having my semi-deep run last night, I wanted to play in that tournament again tonight.

Then I actually won a HU session at the 5 card draw cash table for over $500!

I coulda just quit my night right then and there.  I wish I did as my night turned south from there.  Way south.

To make a long story short, I couldn’t win a hand in the NHG tournament.  But am pleased with my play.  Busted around 600th of 800 or so.

Then my 5 card draw game saw more running brutal.  I lost a couple HU sessions just as what seems to be normal for me recently.  But I didn’t win when the table was 3 handed or more to cover the loss.

It is really toying with me too.  It is starting to have me questioning what I am doing wrong.  But as I review some of the play, I realize that in most cases there is just nothing I could have done.  Oh well.  I hope things turn around soon though.

I am really thankful now that I had such a good July or else I would really be pressing to have a winning session.

The crazy thing is, I am not doing too bad monetarily since the beginning of August.  But I know when things aren’t “normal” at the 5 card draw tables.  I mean after last night, I was ahead of my pace to 60k by over six thousand dollars, that would be the highest I have been ahead of schedule since starting my goal.  But remember, I did buy $1,300 worth of bonuses from the PokerStars store to help ease this running bad just the other day.

Even without the bonuses, I would still be ahead of pace.  But it sure would be nice to get some of this running bad out of the way.

But as is, I dropped $587.50 tonight.

Bringing my total to 60k to $18,456.58 (still over 5k ahead of pace)
